Common questions
Are my files uploaded to your servers?
No. Your files are processed entirely in your browser. They are not uploaded to Filecraft servers in normal flows.
Can I compress only specific pages?
Yes. Click pages to select them. When pages are selected, only those pages are included in the compressed output. Leave all pages unselected to compress the full document.
How does the compression work?
Embedded JPEG images are re-encoded at a lower quality level you choose (High quality, Balanced, or Maximum compression). The PDF is also re-saved with structural optimisation. Images that cannot be re-encoded or would not get smaller are left untouched.
Why might the compressed file be the same size or larger?
If your PDF contains no JPEG images, or if the images are already highly compressed, re-encoding them may not produce smaller output. The tool only replaces images when the re-encoded version is strictly smaller.
Is there a file size limit?
On the Free plan, files can be up to 10 MB. Pro and higher plans support up to 100 MB.
Can I save the result to OneDrive or SharePoint?
Yes, on Pro and higher plans. The file is uploaded directly from your browser to your cloud storage — not through our servers.
