Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
These terms have not yet been reviewed by external legal counsel. They are provided for transparency while the product is in early access.
1. Agreement to terms
By accessing or using Filecraft, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service. Use of any Filecraft tool — including the free tools that do not require an account — constitutes acceptance of these terms.
2. Service description
Filecraft is a browser-based file tools platform. Tools for editing, converting, and inspecting files run locally in your browser using standard web APIs. In normal operation, file contents are not transmitted to Filecraft servers.
Filecraft offers free and paid plans. Paid plans unlock additional tools, higher file size limits, and cloud integrations.
3. Account terms
Some features require a Filecraft account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it current.
You may not share your account credentials or allow others to access your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
4. Acceptable use
You may use Filecraft for lawful purposes only. You may not use the service to process files that you do not have the right to access or modify, or in any way that violates applicable law.
You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or interfere with the operation of the service. Automated access (scraping, bots) is not permitted without prior written approval.
5. Intellectual property
You retain all rights to the files you process using Filecraft. Filecraft does not claim any ownership over your files or the outputs produced by the tools.
Because files are processed locally in your browser, Filecraft does not access, store, or retain your file contents in normal operation.
The Filecraft service, including its code, design, and documentation, is owned by Filecraft and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
6. Payment and billing
Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) through Stripe. Prices are displayed in euros and include applicable taxes where required.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing period.
Filecraft reserves the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes do not apply retroactively to the current billing period.
7. Limitation of liability
Filecraft is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Filecraft does not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific result will be achieved.
Filecraft does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any file output produced by the tools. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any processed file before relying on it. Filecraft is not liable for any consequences arising from the use of tool outputs, including but not limited to data loss, document corruption, or reliance on processed files for legal, financial, or professional purposes.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Filecraft shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Filecraft's total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid to Filecraft in the twelve months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.
8. Termination
You may stop using Filecraft at any time by canceling your subscription and closing your account.
Filecraft may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or if required by law. Where possible, Filecraft will provide notice before termination.
9. Changes to these terms
Filecraft may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email. By continuing to use Filecraft after changes take effect, you agree to the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these terms or the service will be resolved in the courts of Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
11. Contact
Filecraft is operated by MJ Projects B.V., registered in the Netherlands.
